Stop telling lies Sanchez, you did not refuse to fight Andre Ward because he can't draw a crowd..... you offered him 164 LMAO

" Ward wants to fight Golovkin and he wants to fight him next. But it won't happen at 164 pounds. By accepting 168 with Carl Froch and Chavez Jr., then demanding 164 with Ward, it's their way of saying 'we don't want to fight Andre Ward. "

Sounds to me like GGG wants to face people he knows he can beat. Aka smaller fighters he can bully (Floyd) or fighters he just outclasses due to skill differences (Lemieux).

He doesn't want to face someone his size or larger (Canelo) nor does he want to face someone at or above his skill level (Ward, Eubank Jr., Saunders, Jacobs).

Frankly I don't blame him. Floyd didn't take risks, why should GGG?

Because he knows that is a fkn dangerous fight at 155.

Same with Lara, even at 160, because of that difficult style.

How can they possibly mention Brook but refuse to even consider Lara?

All of the Canelo-haters swear that Lara beat Canelo LMAO

They are taking highly winnable fights for medium paydays.

--Why not go up for Ward then come back down for Mayweather?

It will make GGG weak, doe.

--But you were willing to go up for Froch and Chavez Jr then come down for Mayweather.

That's different, doe. It's all about business.

--Why won't you accept Canelo's demands in order to make a big money fight then? That's the richest fight available in all the sport for Golovkin.

        HAHAHAHA

I'll tell you why, but you won't hear Golovkins team or fans say it. It's a guaranteed loss.
So when Ward talks about boxing being a business, that fights have to make financial sense, it is all good and it's OK to stand behind his comments.

When Lil G's team says the same kind of thing, it's because they know they would have lost the fight, even though they countered Ward with a compromise offer, one that Ward refused I might add.

It's amazing how when the situation fits an agenda it's gold but when it goes against said agenda, it's schit.

You can like Ward all day, heck I don't dislike the guy, he is an outstanding boxer, was a great Olympian, and is known as a pretty good guy all around. What he isn't, is a big draw, boxing wise. The guy has a fanbase that makes cover band fanbases look like a Metallica fanbase. I live 20 mins from ROARacle and I didn't even go. Not proud of that, as I believe in supporting boxing period, but just saying.

Froch is a name. Ward is the better boxer, yes. but in this sport, unless he is holding titles, or a cash cow, that isn't a fighter a guy like GGG who is after the money fights now is going to take. That isn't being afraid, that's being intelligent. Bradley did the same thing, he fought Pac for the big bucks. It was a smart move then, and it still remains so today.

It totally would be a step backwards, and the onus is on Ward, who has been inactive, and has only fought cans in the last 4 years or so, to make the fight with Golovkin, and not vica versa.

Good post, but let me play Devils's Advocate for a sec.

All I changed was the names in bold.....

Canelo indeed is overmatched but that's the biggest fight in boxing. No one is letting go of that for an 10lb+ bigger, injury prone B sider who wants 50/50 next year.

If Froch was an overmatched opponent for Ggg, it wouldn't reflect well on Ward. That's his best win, and he didn't have to concede the weight or home turf

Sanchez is just being straight up.......froch is the bigger draw by far.....everybody has always known what Sanchez is saying .....ward is less reward more risk and froch is money in the bag with a massive stadium fight....simple mathematics
