should have been stopped in the 7th. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter eat as many clean uppercuts as that! There was 3 in a row at one point ffs!

Hoping Blackwell comes back from this as he's a durable opponent but this beating could leave him unable to fight again. He will need an extended break at least and will have to prove himself medically able to get his licence

Eubank Sr. was heard to say between 7th and 8th words to the effect of "I don't understand why the ref hasn't stopped this yet"

Blackwell has an amazing chin and amazing fortitude. His trainer has impaired judgement. The referee was inept.

When you are repeatedly on the end of 10-15 punch flurries round after round with nothing coming back during those flurries then the ref needed to call the doctor in a lot earlier. Some fighters just have amazing ability to absorb punishment but that doesn't mean they aren't hurt.

Hopefully Blackwell recovers , if and when he does he can thank his corner and those two goofs BJS and Fury who pumped this guy's head up so much before the fight. It was easy to see from the start Blackwell is not on the same level as Jr. I know for sure that if the ref stopped it in the 7th, 8th, 9th, or whenever all these idiots would be screaming and crying that the ref stopped it prematurely. BJS is a paper champ idiot, I hope he feels awful. Would love to see Bursak demolish him on behalf of Blackwell's family.

Saunders was genuinely trying to claim after the fight that Blackwell (his friend) was fine because 'he put his thumb up' - instead of going with Blackwell, he opted to stay on camera bumming himself up because it 'wasn't really that serious'. He embarrassed himself with his actions along with his pathetic/biased pre and post fight commentary.

Him and Fury were trying to goad Jr before the fight and all through it, Eubank Jr took it out on their so called friend.

I'm usually the first one to complain about premature stoppages but at the same time I also hate it when stuff like this happens. It's such a fine line to walk.

Hopefully this is just precautionary and Blackwell will come out of it ok.

It should have been stopped after round 7. His body language was all wrong and the fight had been beat out of him.

Refs and corners need to do a much better job of spotting fights where a slow beatdown is occurring. Just because the odd shot is being thrown back doesnt mean they arent being damaged badly. Magomed Abdusalamov situation comes to mind too
