Will the BBBC even let him back in the ring after this?

The spectre of Watson vs BBBC in 2001 still haunts them to this day

Didn´t see the fight, but in general prolonged punishment should never be allowed when the fight is not competitive (fights like Vitali vs Briggs). If both fighters are hurting each other it´s a different story. - Hope he recovers, naturally.

should have been stopped in the 7th. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter eat as many clean uppercuts as that! There was 3 in a row at one point ffs!

Hoping Blackwell comes back from this as he's a durable opponent but this beating could leave him unable to fight again. He will need an extended break at least and will have to prove himself medically able to get his licence

I agree he will never be the same now. I saw the fight get beat out of him. He was cowering in the last round when it got stopped he looked like he didnt want to fight and was flinching when eubank was nowhere near him. Mentally it has taken its toll and physically he will struggle because of the internal damage. Bad stoppage by the ref who will have to live with this.

Blackwell put on a hell of a fight , hats off to the man

Had a bad feeling after the fight because his eyes looked like he'd taken a hefty bomb of mdma . His pupils were massive

Looked like he received good care ringside and they got him to hospital quickly my mate had to get put into a induced coma after a fight . It's usually a procausion to protect the brain from swelling ect

Hopefully he recovers fully . He gave it everything he had . Respect !

Been watching Blackwell fight since 2011. He only has one way of fighting.. come forward and get punched repeatedly. I said during the fight with all the uppercuts that he was going to be brain damaged before he was 30.. I'm not completely surprised he's where he is right now. Shame.

The bad thing is the ref didn't actually stop the fight, it was the Doctor. If the Doctor would have given the ok I'm sure the ref would have let it continue.
