And don't equate not being on gear with being a fatass. Fury looks the way he does because he's a slob with a poor diet and poor training. Go and watch videos of him training and look at how awful his form is.
It had a man with a PHD in laughter and out of his robotic-serious character he always puts on in the lead up to a fight.

Fury appeals to the lowest common denominator and his antics have gotten predictable. And none of that **** matters if you're absolute aids to watch in the ring.
Ali looked like a slob in his later years and he never had a the physique of a bodybuilder, even when he was in his prime. Most boxers that look like bodybuilders suck as actual fighters. The fight game isn't about physical appearance and a posing routine. If that's what you're into then you should stay away from boxing and check out Mr. Olympia.

You can't accuse someone of taking steroids if there's no proof. Anthony Joshua might be on steroids. Every boxer might be on steroids as far as we know. But without proof it's a pointless argument

I'm talking about in the ring, obviously.

Fury's general lifestyle leaves a lot to be desired, that's true, and I'd love him to have a bit more discipline in what he eats and how he trains. But he's never turned up to a big fight out of shape, nor has a lack of conditioning ever let him down in recent fights, so it's all kind of irrelevant to me.

He was an amazing athlete for his time. Its not about having the physique of a bodybuilder, its about actually looking and acting like a professional. Right now fury is so out of shape its embarrassing. The guy refuses to take his training seriously unless his uncle forces him to.

I'm not a big fan of Tyson Fury at all but I think he'll be a hard guy for any heavyweight to beat if he continues to fight and train like he has recently. I would favour Fury to beat any heavyweight right now but I hope Wlad beats him in the rematch.
I favour Fury to win that fight with Klitschko. I give Wlad a 35% chance because he's too old and Fury style is a nightmare for him.

Holmes jump kicked guys off cars. Tyson was a rampant maniac. Since when did boxing get so respectable?

You're right. There were guys in Ali's era that were shredded and/or muscular. Ken Norton is a good example. Shavers, Foreman and Sonny Liston were big muscular guys too, but that didn't mean they were in better shape than Ali. Most of those guys didn't have the stamina that Ali had. Frazier and some others did have that stamina though.

I'm going to google recent Fury pics to see how fat he is. If he doesn't keep himself in check he won't stay champion for very long. His greatest strength is his foot movement. If he's out of shape that all goes out the door. He might just be too ****** to realize that he has to stay disciplined if he wants to remain at the top of the division.

So Ali being a fat slob in his later years is something to glorify and aspire towards? Have you seen his performances from that period in his career? He was absolutely gash, and him being a lazy slob had a lot to do with that.

The fight game is about fighting, which is something Joshua actually does. He delivers knockouts, and he delivers them in a particularly violent manner that is generally expected from a heavyweight.
