Ward doesn't like getting hit and he got hit a lot by a lumbering predictable guy yesterday. I don't see him standing up to what Kovalev dishes out.

No one hits harder than Abraham and Ward dealt with him easily. Kovalev has never fought anyone near Ward's level..

Congratulations to Andre Ward in completing VADA for the 4th time.

With jabs that had little on them, he missed a lot of shots too and Wards defense started to look great as he adapted. Kovalev gets hit a lot himself and has little inside game, which Ward will exploit. It's a much closer fight than most feel because Kovalev looks unstoppable.

Kovalev hits WAY harder than Abraham and is much, much, much better. Ward has never fought anyone on Kovalev's level, either. That's what makes it such a great fight. Each is easily the best fighter the other has ever fought.

                    Seriously, hit a lot?

He got hit with like 10 hard shots, at most. It was probably closer to 5.

i think Barerra got one good right in the whole fight. Ward did get hit, but the power shots he got hit with were mostly parried or smothered and a lot of the total shots he ate were jabs. That's always been a bit of a weakness of his tho. Like i said before, the things i gathered from this fight is Ward is still clearly elite, albeit rusty and it really told us nothing about how a Kovalev fight would go. Barrera fought a measured tactical fight. Something he never does. I highly doubt we will see Kov do that.
