If he's talking about ducking below the belt line he'd be correct.

What does 200+ amateur fights from Barrera tell you if he never won anything?

Kovalev and GGG would have crushed someone as Barrera like a g**** and Ward couldn't put him out of there. Thats a fact.
Braehmer is garbage, he just struggled beating some euro journeyman in his last fight. Froch was a terrible amateur, he lost to Manfredo Jr., his style is suited towards the pros.

Barrera is better and more dangerous than anyone Kovalev has fought, people would be bashing Ward if he took a fight with a 50 year old Hopkins lmao. Pascal was apart of that SMW class that Ward demolished and separated himself years ago when they were in their primes, JP's been on the decline for years.

GGG's competition is a joke, don't even bring that coward into this lol.

People thought that just because he was an 'undefeated Cuban' that it automatically meant that he was a good fighter. WRONG.

Ranked 23, best victory was against Karo Murat, who btw won rounds against Barrera lol.

Barrera isn't very good, I can't see him beating anyone in the top 10. Not even close. Yuniesky Gonzalez is a better Cuban and he just lost to Shabranskyy pretty decisively.

It was an expected win against an opponent that's obviously better than the Alexander Brand's of the world, but not world class by any means.

Not only that. Also excessive clinching and forearms abuse. But hey... when I say the same about Klitschko its ok but when I say Floyd I'm a hater.

Props to Ward, he made an amazing fight. He should fight more often. The fight wasnt boring. Now I wanna see him against a top5 LHW and then Kovalev.
I wouldn't go so far as to say Pascal would do better than Barrera. Pascal is nothing but an empty shell at this point. Barrera's showing was very disappointing though. He wasn't a top 10 light heavy, and coming into the bout, his best wins were Hopkins and Calzaghe left overs. I don't even see why they tried to tout him as a Cuban defector in the build up to the fight. He had no semblance of the Cuban style. If he had a bit of boxing ability, he could have boxed on the outside and made the fight a little harder for Ward. Barrera was too damn slow, with bad footwork, and bad balance. He didn't look all that in his previous fights. Stopping Jeff Lacy, and getting a British stoppage against Murat smh. When those are your two high lights, you haven't really done ****. Hell if Jeff lacy is one of your signature wins that says a lot about your level of opposition.

Nobody really hyped Barrera up besides the people who accused Ward of "Ducking Him" before the fight became official. Ward is already Proven, he didn't not need this fight to solidify anything. Ward don't depend on Power, he depend on his SKILLS so him fighting at 175 is not gong to change anything. If anything I think 175 will be EASIER for him because the guys at 175 are much slower compared to him at least

Some people refuse to admit that Ward is ELITE so all he is going to do is embarrass these PRIDEFUL FANS and you guys will get on here and CRY after all of his matches about something
No one really hyped Barrera? Wtf you smoking dude?!? Ward fans hyped him up just for when Ward beats him, it could seem like some big accomplishment.
