Agreed. And, Virgil touched on another criticism; people saying that Brand and Barrera were's anything like Kovalev. As Virgil said, nobody fights exactly like someone else and when you're as experienced as Ward, you don't need to prep for a puncher by fighting punchers. He got his rounds in, shed the rust, acclimated to the weight. There will be no excuses.

A lot of people are angry that Ward was given a year to become a 175lber and work off his rust. I guess asking for a fair fight was too much. It's Floyd all over again in that they want to see him handicapped in some way.

Yet it was 100% okey-dokey for Ward to want GGG to jump from 160 to 168 and fight him with no tuneups when Ward was too big to even make 168 at the time?

Kovalev style is made to beat wards.

Powerful straight punches with speed and technique with a tall stance . Ward is biting off more than he can chew. Kovalev is an elite fighter anf is being underestimated .

Kovalev is gonna outbox ward.
Kovalev will be more active and will land more lunches.

We all know ward is coming to stink it up and try and steal rounds off lots of baiting and movement.

Hopefully the ref will warn ward about his clinching and watch for headbutts, ward likes to use dirty tactics.

GGG barked in Ward's direction and when the cage was finally open, team GGG tucked tail and RAN. If GGG didn't want it, he should have told Sanchez and everyone to STFU and not push the issue. But, they said they wanted Ward, until they got him. That's all on them.

Really don't know who to pick in this fight.
Went with Ward by decision in the poll, but after seeing those latest pics, Kov looks rangy as ***. He might just box the hell out of Ward from the outside.
Still, I've never seen Ward lose so I'll stick with my pick.

Would be great for boxing when Kovalev wins, he will chase the biggest fights to be made, while Ward may retire again and if not he will fight the Brands and Paul Smithes until HBO forces him to fight somebody with a pulse in 2 years.
