2 days. 2 days! What a great fight, can't believe it's finally here.
"SOG" Ward vs "King" Krusher Kovalev @ 175 lbs / 12.5 stone: Who wins?

For me the 'inactivity' of Ward isn't a factor for this fight, this is the first time since 2009 that he will have fought 3 times in a calendar year so if anything being busy should work in his favour.
Then the weight, he said he wanted a couple fights to acclimate to 175 and that's what he got, he's a full fledged light heavyweight now.
Had he jumped straight into the Kovalev fight after Paul Smith then I could understand those points but really there's no excuse for either guy unless there's some blatant corruption or freakish mid fight injury.
Can't wait!

Agreed. And, Virgil touched on another criticism; people saying that Brand and Barrera were's anything like Kovalev. As Virgil said, nobody fights exactly like someone else and when you're as experienced as Ward, you don't need to prep for a puncher by fighting punchers. He got his rounds in, shed the rust, acclimated to the weight. There will be no excuses. For me the 'inactivity' of Ward isn't a factor for this fight, this is the first time since 2009 that he will have fought 3 times in a calendar year.

A lot of people are angry that Ward was given a year to become a 175lber and work off his rust. I guess asking for a fair fight was too much. It's Floyd all over again in that they want to see him handicapped in some way.Comment

Why do you post comments from a fake page? It's a parody account.

The strange thing is I can actually imagine Kovalev saying that.Originally posted by GolovkinCONTROVERSY @andreward & @KrusherKovalev RAN into each other at MGM. WORDS exchanged. KOVALEV: "I will kill you, I'll hang you in a tree.'

SOURCES tell Fox: "NOBODY recognized Ward at arrival. MGM asked guests to stay in lobby for his entrance and had to explain who he was."

Agreed for the most part. People are fixated on the "it only takes 1 punch" idea. But, Kovalev isn't about 1 punch. I don't think it's likely that he's going to get an accumulation of clean punches on a guy who is statistically one of the hardest to hit, and who knows better than anyone else how to tie a guy up. If Kovalev wins (which I see as a healthy possibility) it's via decision, IMO.
I really feel that this is going to be another "deep waters" affair by Ward where an outstanding opponent falls victim to the science and everyone says "I never thought I'd see ____ look so lost and frustrated".Comment
