Most of these posters living off what Duran did to SRL the first fight because SRL chose to stand toe to toe but FMJ is not going to stand there and let Duran swing for the fences. FMJ 9 rounds to 3.
I can kind of understand why some might say Duran would beat Floyd but it would have to be that exact duran on that exact night with that same hunger with that same focus with that same training. Duran for all his greatness was rather undisciplined in training, I think for that one fight he got his shhh together and lightning stuck. That Duran gives hell to any 147 lb fighter ever..does he win them all? Who knows but that was the best Duran we ever got to see.

If Castillo can do this to Floyd.

Duran will murder this great pretender.

Duran is a he!!uva lot more respected as legend than your idol Floydie will ever be. And he did it without IVs or doing a good solid training camp very often.

Everybody talking about how Floyd woud not be able to handle the old timers but never factor in that perhaps the old timers would have pished Mayweather harder because in Floyd's era there were not enough tough fighters for him. Some had to try and cheat also fight dirty to get an edge. 130/140 Floyd gives any of them guys problems. WW would have been a lil harder for him consider the talent guys like Leonard and Hearns had.

Exactly, and this is what always kills me about the 'Duran of Montreal' zealots. To hear them talk you'd think that Leonard got whipped from pillar to post, but that's not what happened at all.

The best version of Duran won a close decision against a 24 yr old Leonard making his 2nd title defense and who admitted later that he got caught up in the machismo of the event and didn't fight his fight. And even still Leonard was coming on at the end.

5 months later, the 'Duran of New Orleans' was so frustrated by Leonard's movement, counterpunching, and defense that he etched himself in boxing history with his 'No Mas'.

And yet these folks think it is illogical to believe a Mayweather fight wouldn't at least be competitive? I just don't get it.

Is that why he forever shamed himself by quitting?

Floyd had one arm in that fight and it still was controversial

and up to this day no doctor to vouch for his rumored injury.

                      Excuse? More likely.
