So you don't find Ward's fights boring? Here's a good test: Watch a Ward fight without HBO's commentators doing their incessant gushing over him. Yeah, Ward is a great boxer, just boring. And newsflash: I'm not the first to make that observation. I wanna see Ward in a dangerous situation, knocked down hard, see how he handles the adversity. See if he passes the BIG tests. Don't you?

You were hoping Ward would duck so you can hold onto something to legitimise your hate, but now you're frustrated and lashing out because he made you eat your words. I bet you're also one of those that said Wilder would never go to Russia, Wilder pushed your **** in too I guess.

Same thing happened with Mayweather. If you looked at him at 140 and below he was in there willing to trade and he would just scorch the opposition. But at 147-154 he didn't want to expose himself so much.
I think the problem at 168 is that there isn't the big fight there for him and he's feeling the pressure to take a fight that is defining.

It was not an easy win for Ward, especially given the level of opponent. Maybe Barrera turns out to be a great fighter in his own right and this win had different context, but as it is now. It was a two steps below where he needs to be at to beat Kovalev, or even GGG for that matter.
