Comments Thread For: Ward: I Don't Deserve Kovalev Unless I Perform With Barrera

No. I hope you're just getting caught up in that trolling that you've become so fond of lately and that you're smarter than the things you wrote about Ward lately (which absolutely contradict each other every time you post them).
Ward has hard a hard road from the gate and is constantly battling against adversity, and proving people wrong. Going after Kovalev is literally the hardest challenge one could take in boxing right now, especially when you're a weight class below him. If you were right about him having to go up (which you're likely not), then he could go after Stevenson or any number of other options. A huge guy like Barrera in your first LHW fight is not the path of least resistance. It's all risk, no reward. But, he's doing it to get properly prepared for the bigger challenge in Kovalev.
The scenario you're trying to paint is an absurd hater's fantasy and it would take a long road of delusion to get there.

His HBO contract says that he 'has to' fight Kovalev. So none of your childish fantasies mean a damn thing. The fight is happening, face the reality.
You were hoping Ward would duck so you can hold onto something to legitimise your hate, but now you're frustrated and lashing out because he made you eat your words. I bet you're also one of those that said Wilder would never go to Russia, Wilder pushed your **** in too I guess.
They are praying that Ward ducks Kovalev..... and I know why.
Because Ward pulled lilG's hoe-card, that's why.
The Golovkin fans desperately tried to save face by insinuating that lil'G would beat Ward, and that Ward ducked him..... when most knowledgeable observers can see exactly what happened.
If Ward gets in the ring with Kovalev, they know what the likely result will be..... and IF Ward beats Kovalev, there is no way those asshat's could convince even their own mother that lil'G could have ever beaten Ward.
Their best result is for Ward to fade off into obscurity, not fight Kovalev.Comment

it is funny that the demented azzholes that think ward who looks skinny at the weigh in with berrera and barely made the LH limit by .2 of a lb is in GGG weight class have to be insane. ward was a CW fighting at SM GGG is a small to average MW who can make 158. ward the coward wanted to pick on a guy 3 weight classes below him
That is the lamest crybaby excuse I ever heard
If Ward is a cruiser, then how fkn lame was that 164 cw demand ? LMAO
So happy that Kovalev is not scared of Ward, like Golovkin is.Comment

I take it you don't frequent many Ward threads. No matter what he says the same group of people come into the thread to either twist what he says or bash him in some way.Comment

Maybe you're right, but he just doesn't look like a light heavy to me. By comparison Kovalev structurally looks much bigger to me. Ward is good enough that maybe Kovalev never touches him, but Kovalev can definitely hurt him.Comment

I thought about this.. kind of worries me, but I doubt it because I genuinely feel Ward wants to be the new "Floyd" since Floyd is retired.. usa fans don't know who to follow...
It's risky as hell though, Kovalev is better than anyone Ward fought and hits much harderComment
