He's comfortable at 168. I'm not sure why he's feeling pressure to move up. I just wish he would fight more.

Ward setting up that excuse to duck the fight already. If he wins but struggles in the process, he'll want a year or two to recover and state that he didn't do enough to warrant a Killa Kov fight because the fans deserve better.

Oh, he'll lose and he knows it. He just wants to collect a few mills for tuneups and the only way to get that was to say he'd be willing to fight Kovalev, that's not what Ward wants though but he has to work the excuses in softly so as to not raise su****ions.

When the only way to be "right" is to make predictions, then you're probably on the losing side. How about we look at the facts as they stand and watch how things unfold.

I think if he fights Kovalev he will win. I don't think he wants the fight. I'm a big fan but I really believe that he knows he can beat anyone that can't hurt him. So he's got this mental hurdle. It's probably a perfectionist thing more than a fear thing.

Come on Larry, you know damn well the second that Floyd retired, Ward became the new Floyd......it's just NSB, don't take it personally.

I'm perfectly happy to watch it unfold.....Ward did some good things in the Super 6 but that was like eons ago in boxing terms. He thought that what he did then, set his career for life, for many of his fans, it truly did. The fact remains that he has an entitlement complex and wants to take the path of least resistance because he feels that he has earned that right. Has he, has he not? That's up to each person's evaluation I guess but his actions and his behavior tells me that he wants nothing to do with Kovalev. He moved up because he couldn't make 168 anymore and it's easy to say he moved up to challenge himself but if that were the case, he wouldn't have been pushing so hard for "lil g" to move up or for his first fight at 175 to be against scrub 168 pounders. He was forced, literally, into fighting a semi-legit 175 pound guy so he did it.

Props to him if he fights Kivalev this year. To be honest I understand Ward must be comfortable at the weight but his fans on here are yapping too much that he is going to fight him this year. Already giving him credit for something he hasn't done yet.
