No they don't. Name one PBC card with a $2.3 mil purse. That's 4 fights on PBC

Barrera getting more than Walters was initially offered vs Loma I think. F#cked up HBO is spending $2.2M on Ward vs a guy everyone pretty much knows is gonna lose & they won't spend more than a $1M on Loma vs Walters two of the top guys in their divisions. This probably explains why HBO is throwing HBO Boxing less & less money each year.

Ward has a deal with HBO and he leads to Kovalev who also has a deal with HBO. Loma-Walters is a good fight but doesn't lead to anything with HBO.

Sounds pretty healthy for both guys. I'm surprised to see Barrera getting 500k. Guy should be really happy with that. There's a chance he might never get it again.

No to mention Walters Would be lucky to sell 500 tickets by himself.

I'm excited to see Ward back in the ring, but I Kniw he will quickly remind me of how terrible his fights usually are.

I understand the why's. I just think on average guys should be paid more for good fights vs top guys, in particular this fight between Loma & Walters, than bs fights that may lead somewhere in 8 months, in particular this fight between Ward & Barrera. Barrera has done nothing in boxing. Ward hasn't done anything in years. Again I understand how the economics of this works for HBO its just a lil effed up sometimes in particular this time when I see a good fight being bypassed over a relative small sum of money.
