no way mayweather beats hatton if he runs and trys to stick and move. he will need to fight in the trenches and you need to get hatton's respect. you don't need to beat him at his own game, but you need to sit on your punches and dictate from the center of the ring or hatton will just maul you on the ropes. fighting an experienced, young bull like hatton is much different then fighting guys like gatti, sharmba, and judah.

You know what the biggest problem is with Margarito fans? What i see is alot of hype about this guy, and almost no awknowledgement of this guys flaws. You people act like Margarito is gonna setup punches like Judah, like Margarito is as fast as Judah, or that Margarito has the talent to even apply the pressure like Castillo did (who still lost anyway both times even if the first was contraversial, he had 2 tries and lost both so whatever).

Every Margarito fan acts like this guy is rocky marciano, invincible, and act like Mayweather has no punching power on his own, act like hes "lost a step" at welterweight. Mayweather could lose 40 percent of his speed and still be twice as fast as margarito. Margarito to me doesnt look any faster than Gatti. He may be bigger, but ive seen this time and again that when you come in with bad defense against mayweather, your in trouble, Judah has speed and quickness to defend himself, Judah can at least temporarily offset mayweathers speed with his own, Margarito CANT DO THAT, i dont care what the **** you say, Margarito's speed WILL NOT be a factor.

I know floyd can take a punch, Judah landed a couple of VERY GOOD shots that floored a couple of cats (spinks) already. Floyd's defnese is outstanding, you notice the people he got landed on by (Judah/Corley) are fast? You notice how Margarito isnt? Margarito needs a serious trainer if he wants to stand a chance, the average strategy of coming straight foward just isnt gonna cut it, you people need to understand this to see why people just arent intrested in this fight. I sure as hell aint.

I'll always like Floyd and I've been a fan of his since the dark ages. Fact remains that he's pissing me off by not giving Margarito a shot......when Arum offered him eight million ****ing dollars to fight him. That's more than he's ever made in a single fight, and there's no denying it.

Margarito deserves a fight with him, and is a better opponent than Gatti and Judah, any way you slice it.

I'm starting to lose some respect for him writing Margarito off....and if this behaviour continues....he's going to end up ducking real challenges for a while now.

i do agree somewhat black jesus. margarito's skills are somewhat primitive. at least with hatton you have controlled relentless pressure, good handspeed with a great variety of damaging shots, a great chin, and he shortens up his punches. on the contrary, margarito throws very wide, loopy punches but does bring pressure and remarkable stamina.

then again, mayweather hasn't shown much resistance to many fighters yet. when Jose Luis Castillo showed resistance, what did mayweather do? he backed off and tried to win going backwards which only worked because he had rounds in the bank.

Comparing Hopkins' accomplishments to Margarito is telling of your ignorance.

The fact is, that was Hopkins natural weight. Hopkins didn't call out these smaller guys. And if you seen Hopkins fight, you'd know that even at 40, Hopkins has 10 times the skills, reflexes and speed that Margarito has.

my brother beat the **** out me years ago and when i was 12 my friends older brother beat the **** out of me i didn't get in much street fights cause i was in a ganga so nobody wanted trouble but i've still been hit harder with a glove then ever from a fist without a glove
