I agree I believe Golovkin is trimming down to call Canelo's bluff and agree
in front of the world to his new 155 lb weight class. Then we can all watch canelo crawfish out of the fight with some other excuse.

If he's in boxing to get big money there is. Getting the WBC belt without beating Canelo won't mean as much like it or not. He has a small window to be the biggest name in the sport with the right fights, but if he passes on 155 he's probably passing on that opportunity.

Tend to agree. If GGG's side is legit thinking its 160 or nothing they don't understand the business of boxing & are f#cking themselves more then Canelo.

Canelo can get a 154 title shot within days of dropping his 160 belt or he'll further piss off boxing fans & get a 168 title fight @ 161. Or worse case he's famous enough at this point to have a string of non-title PPV fights.

With GGG's limited time in the game, maybe 10 fights/max, he'd be wise to realize that most fans won't remember 155 or 160 they'll only remember if the fight happened & GGG's bank account will be bigger or smaller post-boxing based on Canelo being on his resume or not & his legacy will be bigger or smaller for the same reason.

Check it out - he was 165 at 30 days for Rubio and canadian title holder.

I have to admit that I would not be surprised but still hope to see him in the ring with Kovalev.

middleweight isnt the only weight class...how long are you guys gonna ride that horse?

everybody is not ducking this dude...boxing is a business as well

His team has turned down offers like everyone else

Lara was high risk low reward...sd he couldnt draw flies

froch and chavez jr were ok for 168 but Ward...the best 168er of this era, they wanted at 164

keep believing everybody is ducking this guy if it helps you sleep good at night

he is a good fighter, but needs to step on the gas as far as his opponents.....fans are getting restless, obviously he is talented

Barrera is a solid prospect but he never was a champion and never boxed a champion.
