Love failed his post fight test because he took the Diuretic during the weigh-in!
Diuretics are typically used to help cut weight or used as a masking agent for steroids. In Love's case, he struggled severely to make the 160-pound weight limit for the fight with Rosado.
Love was two hours late for the weigh-in and then was 161½ pounds on his first attempt to make weight. He returned to the scale nearly an hour later -- almost maxing out the time allotted to make weight -- and was 160 pounds.
"My guess is that's when he took it, allegedly. He may have taken it then or right before the weigh-in, because he was two hours late," Kizer said.Middleweight prospect J’Leon Love failed a drug test following his controversial 10-round unanimous decision win against Gabriel Rosado on May 4.
Bey also took it the week of the test and the commission ruled Bey's test was an error on his doctor's part because he had documentation he had been given it the week of the fight by his doctor. That's why his suspension was less than Chavez Jr. who was busted for smoking weed.
Bey, who has had a history of illness and was unable to compete in the 2004 Olympics because of pneumonia, went to the Las Vegas Health Center on Jan. 5. According to the notes of the doctor who saw him, Bey complained of decreased libido, decreased stamina, fatigue and overall malaise.
Under the final assessment, the doctor wrote patient "is aware that performance enhancement is not an option and will be treated with low dosage on consistent basis to help with symptoms."
The commission found the evidence Bey presented from the doctor he saw at the clinic credible and it heavily influenced the light penalty he received.Comment

Scipio2009, you do realize the fight is a month out, yes? This is not the UK where fights sell out in minutes/hours. I anticipate a vast majority of people buy their tickets the week of, much like myself. Tickets for many boxing events in the US are ultimately given away for free. 11,000+ sold tickets a month before the fight is pretty damn good...
Selling 11k tickets is a commendable feat, but it's taken him two months to get the sale to the point where K2 was confident enough to open up another section of the venue.
Santa Cruz-Mares put over 13k people into Staples Center, arguably with less lead time than Golovkin-Wade. just keeping things in perspective.Comment

@GGGBoxing v Wade in full effect @theforum 4/23, more tickets released tomorrow, highest capacity ever for boxing pic.twitter.com/OLHvwZRHdN

Simply hyping the "highest capacity ever for boxing" could be all of 12k seats at The Forum for all we know, lol.Comment

His last fight would have created more revenue if his fans stayed at home and bought the PPV, $20 tickets FTW.Comment

How exactly are you keeping things in perspective? You are using a fight that consisted of two well known fighters that did 13k on the night of the event as a comparison. Golovkin's fight is already over 11k in ticket sales with an entire month to go, knowing full well a majority of the tickets get sold within the days leading up to the event. It is also against a mandatory opponent that very few people know of. I mean no disrespect, honestly, but your points make no sense.Comment

Not that uncommon. Rubio for example was 174.5 30-days out. Lemieux was 175.8. Sergio Martinez was consistently over 170 pounds for his 30-day weights, weighing in at the max 176 pounds for Williams II fight.
For comparison, Canelo is typically about 168 pounds 30-days out.Comment
