The Forum, according to Wikipedia, has a full capacity of over 17k, yet K2 seems happy to just arrange the setup for 10k seats, "selling that out", before then opening up chunks of the building at a time.

I anticipate a vast majority of people buy their tickets the week of, much like myself. Tickets for many boxing events in the US are ultimately given away for free. 11,000+ sold tickets a month before the fight is pretty damn good...
