Where was Monzon, Hopkins, and Hagler by their 34th fight? Still at MW. Can you tell me how often did dominant MWs moved up in weight? Please answer the question.Comment

There was no SMW division for Monzon and Hagler to move to.
Little G clearly had no problem with 168, he was willing to fight Froch and Chavez there, his problem was he didn't want to fight Ward.

Even if there were, I'm pretty sure they won't be quick to move up either. When a boxer dominates a division, they usually stay there.
You're part of the "smart business decision" crew. Wouldn't you of done the same? People will pay for Chavez/Froch, both of which have huge followings unlike Ward. I would of preferred Ward to really clear 168 and wait for GGG to move up and both fight but I guess that didn't happen.Comment

Staying at 160 and fighting the Lemieux's and Wade's instead of moving up beating Ward becoming P4P #1 and gaining popularity and credit.Even if there were, I'm pretty sure they won't be quick to move up either. When a boxer dominates a division, they usually stay there.

But i agree it was smart because he knew he couldn't win and the hype would be gone after being dominated by Ward.Comment
