Difference is Floyd was being groomed as a top ranks next star from Arum and also Hernandez was with top rank and a aging fighter so Arum set it up. GGG is not with golden boy so Oscar dont care to give him a chance, he is a treat and he has to keep Canelo safe.Comment

Floyd was barely two years into a pro career and was thrown in with the lineal 130 champion, in what amounted to a voluntary defense by Hernandez. What does he do immediately afterwards? he takes on Angel Manfredy.I see people here talking nonsense about Golovkin being handled titles.
Using that logic, I want to know what did Floyd Mayweather jr do to get a chance for the lineal 130 lb title against Hernandez. At that point Floyd had beaten all bums with no record. He was 17-0 and ALL were bums. But real bums. Look at their records. And don't talk to me about him looking special in fights cuz so does GGG. And don't talk to me about having a great amateur career with a medal at the olympics cuz do so did GGG.
And then some of you ****** Mayweather fans have the balls to say that Floyd wasn't handled anything... that he had a rough path. Then what about GGG? Tell me another joke please you ignorant fools!
Golovkin, after getting to 18-0, fighting the same type of fights that Floyd fought for his first 15 fights, got a shot at the WBA's interim belt, followed that up with nothing fights for the next 4 fights before fighting the Euro-level Proksa and wading through another 4 soft touches (before getting to Daniel Geale, who was seen as a legit guy).
Floyd was brought in as a stay-busy fight for Hernandez; no one is ****** enough to try to draw your parallel.Comment
