boxing and its entire landfill of duckers (canelo and ggg include) makes for a sport that i could easily quit following..
everybody is a businessman looking for the most reward with the slightest risk
if the slightest risk is becoming the undisputed champ..hey lets do it
if the slightest risk is a cherry pick of khan...hey lets do it

if makeing crawford postol can only happen on ppv by chargin the fans for two guys who are not stars or accomplished..hey lets do it, if not..its too big of a risk

smh at least wilder's going to russia i guess

frampton, ward, kovalev, stevenson, pacman, brook...all these guys could have had a "hey lets do it column"...thats how bad it is

As long as it's a Mexican organization governing another Mexicans fight, GGG is at a disadvantage. The WBC is as crooked as they come and they'll bend the rules for Canelo every time. He can own any belt he wants, the doesn't have the hardcore Mexican & Latino fans behind him.

Not really. He has Mayweather on his resume and Khan next. No one except hardcore boxing fans cares or knows who GGG is. **** that wet blanket with no pride, he can sit in Europe fighting cans and stagnate. That unambitious, contradictory lying piece of **** doesn't realise he's 2 years away from obscurity.

            Yes. Right on the target!
Canelo will fight Broner next -- at 168.

Floyd kicked his arse and Khan might squeak into the top 6 WWs - fail

Canelo will vacate and continue to fight @ 155. He will have plenty of takers too, if Oscar continues to play nice with Haymon. It's funny how Oscar and Arum play a game of semantics, "we didn't deal with Haymon, we dealt with Amir's team," "Tell Angel Garcia to call me if he wants to fight Vargas, we don't have to deal with Haymon." Whether Haymon is on the phone or not, if you deal with his fighters, he is advising them, and he's getting paid too!

No one but you and Flatline care about watching Khan getting knocked out beyond it's value as a sideshow. I think GGG is plodding and boring but I'm tuning in, he's a top 15-20 fighter in the world, he's relevant regardless of my opinion.

vacate ? thats when you give up the title without a fight thats worse than quit on your stool typical mexican would rather quit than fight who thinks canola is the middleweight champion if he were ever fool enough to step into the ring with golovkin he would suffer an early KO loss and probably retire i mean he would get a severe beating

                      Get ready for it:

                      February 8, 2016

So for the time being, any thoughts of 'GGG' facing Hopkins is being tabled. But Loeffler did state - "Look, Bernard's the biggest name (Sergey) Kovalev fought so it would be a great opponent for Gennady."

This proposed bout would take place at 168 pounds.

But does this go against their stated goal of collecting all the belts in the middleweight division?

Loeffler explained - "I've always said that if there's a middleweight champion willing to fight him, it's always going to be the priority. If (Billy Joe) Saunders isn't going to fight, if 'Canelo's (Saul Alvarez) is not going to fight, we would consider a marketable name at 168 and Hopkins is more active than (Andre) Ward is, so it makes sense."

As WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) continues his quest to unify the division, he's having some problems finding well-known and marketable foes for the time being.

Does it make sense to fight Hopkins @ 168, and not Andre Ward? Of course it is...NOT!
