I have said it before, the excuses for Golovkin's underwhelming resume are absurd..... simply because the notable name opponents are not ducking Golovkin, the lesser guys are.

The guys who are avoiding Golovkin are not top names..... Saunders/Jacobs, etc..... but the guys who Golovkin COULD have fought, but CHOSE not too, are MUCH bigger names..... Ward/Cotto/Canelo, even Lara is more well-known and rated much higher than his current victims.

Golovkin appears to be chasing the B/C guys, but avoiding the A guys.

Golovkin has the exact resume he wanted, or he would change it.

On what planet will he land big fights by being unwilling to negotiate ?

They don't want to mention Lara, and won't negotiate with Cotto/Canelo/Ward.

There is nobody else, he has the exact resume he wanted, minus a couple of B guys.

It appears that they are building Golovkin's legacy off belt collection (vacant/stripped are fine) and retiring undefeated, despite facing nobody of note.
Is GGG a boxer??? I thought he was a Chef??? And he's collecting cans for a recipe???

It's not that he lost, it's that he actually fought Mayweather so you really can't accuse of him avoiding the big names whereas with GGG...who has he fought in the same league or someone that even stands out on his resume? No one, that's who. If you ever need to know what a hype job is look no further than GGG.

Do you think anybody would avoid fighting Mayweather? That's a pretty ****** statement to make.

Well, Mayweather's not around and Canelo is the man now, so why would anyone avoid fighting him? Khan knew it was a lifetime opportunity and has seen his popularity go up and he hasn't even stepped in the ring. GGG knows it's a mammoth opportunity to elevate him too, but he's afraid of losing his 0. I'm not saying GGG is scared, but he's happy to fight mediocre, beatable opponents.

It would be something if both Canelo and GGG lost their upcoming fights!

So Canelo is a coward because he won't fight GGG at 160, yet GGG is not a coward as well if he won't fight Canelo at any weight lower than 160? That would be a double standard because GGG has almost begged for a fight at 154 with Mayweather. That would be the very definition of a coward, going down, really down in weight to fight a very small guy, knowing he will rehydrate to become way bigger, but refusing to go to 155 to fight a guy who he knows will be as big or bigger than him.

If GGG had never so happily offered to go down to 154 "only for Floyd", only Canelo would be the big coward here. But it's not like that. They are both cowards IMO, each one has their own fears, regarding weight.

If they are both convincingly successful in their next fights, I believe in the end they will settle for maybe a 157 catch weight because I really doubt GGG will end up refusing the biggest purse he may get in his whole life, since he is not getting any younger, yet Canelo is still a very young guy, he can easily handle waiting for that fight with GGG and still make good money fighting many others.

How anybody can defend Canelo's punk ass at this point is beyond me. This is embarrassing. The middleweight champion won't fight at middleweight. It's insane.

That's absurd. GGG has crossed over into mainstream sports now. He's been on ESPN multiple times now.

I would love to see GGG fight DeGale or even Andre Dirrell. Over any MW. This is my list of favorite like to see GGG fight.

Canelo at above 157. Prefer 160
                Ward at 168
                DeGale 168
                Dirrell 168
                Lara 157/158
                Brook 157/158

I DO NOT want to see no Colonel Saunders who would be a 18-1 underdog. Or any other Crappy MW.

                The MW division is DogSht.
Danny Jacobs, Peter Quillin, and I'd like to see him fight somebody up and coming like Tony Harrison.

It's not a deep division, but there's people there for him to fight

Why would the middleweight champ fight another middleweight champ at any other weight than 160. GGG is doing what he's supposed to do as the MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMP!

Yeah, I'm sure he would've turned down Mayweather and making millions of dollars. C'mon.

Hilarious, there is no man now, much less anybody who can carry the water of Mayweather as a draw.

Manny Pacquaio is the only real name in boxing right now, and that's only because he was chasing Floyd and then eventually fought Floyd.

Canelo got embarrassed by Floyd and is just overrated by his Mexican fans.

No one else cares about Canelo.

He's the middleweight champ. He's trying to fight the other middleweight champ.

Seems pretty obvious they should be fighting for the middleweight at the middleweight.

Canelo turns more and more into the biggest laughing stock in boxing. Mexico will soon ban him from the country. The fans already want to adopt GGG and get rid of that scared ginger.

expect GGG to agree on day 18 and then wait 35 days into the negotiation period to announce hes not interested because GGG refuses to fight for the lineal at 155.

Canelo will continue to get the big money fights at 155 or whatever other made up weight classes he chooses and GGG will fight some cab driver for the vacant belt and continue fighting cab drivers at 160 and avoiding 168.

Oh hees too small to fight at 168, he dont even weigh 168... that didnt stop Mayweather from fighting at 154 under the same conditions. And people even want Mayweather to fight at 160.

Also, they were willing to fight Brook at 157.

                      But I wouldn't call him a coward.

The correct term for that is usually " a well-managed fighter ".

But with Golovkin, he is borderline " a protected fighter ".
