No argument there but Saunders nor Jacob hold the "linear MW Championship" and they arent holding it hostage at 155lbs and fighting blown up glass jawed welter weights. The whole thing makes him look pathetic and this is a guy that Ive always had some interest in following. I get everyone around MW who thinks they have something to lose dont want any part of Golovkin because lets face it, they get in the ring with him the overwhelming odds are they are going to lose it but if you dont have the stones to defend your title then give it up and go away. BJ balked on a fight with Golovkin right after he beat Lee but if you can believe what he says he wants a summer fight with GGG. Its plainly clear that Canelo does not want anything to do with him. He is a monumental coward and if he doesnt step up its gonna hurt what he is trying to protect, his cash flow.

If I were Golovkin Id tell Canelo to butt a stump and start negotiating with Saunders immediately after the Wade fight provided Wade doesnt pull the upset of a lifetime.

Would seem like a silly decision on their part since the are due to collect a check for doing nothing but waiting and even if they did strip him they aren't elevating Golovkin-Wade to fill the title since that is already a mandatory.

The sides agreed to go their separate ways for this set of fights, so it shouldn't really be resolved until after.

That is indisputable fact. Feel free to argue against things I never said, but what I actually did say can't be disputed.

In a nutshell, yes they should.

However, when it comes to the WBC, Money > Everything else.

At least the IBF had the balls to enforce their own rules. Which is why I'm baffled that the IBF cops as much heat from fans as they do. The least corrupt of all the alphabet soup orgs should be getting praise.

**** the WBC. **** the fighters who run from fights. **** all the gutless promoters and orgs that have turned the sweet science into the sweet joke. Boxing is a sport that has been teetering on the edge of rotten for longer than I've been alive. But at least the flesh was festering, not dead. In 2016, it feels like the vultures are picking apart the carcass that once was a beautiful sport, for every penny before it gets replaced by fresh meat.

At least corruption and bull***** in years gone by was tolerable.

Title don't mean anything after they get it again and again.

WBC sees Canelo as their cash cow. There's no way they are going to strip him. At the Khan UK Press Conference they awarded Canelo a WBC wrist bracelet, fashioned to replicate a title belt but worn on the wrist, so that "the champion can carry the belt wherever he goes", or words to that effect from WBC President Sulaiman. Last thing they'd do is strip Canelo, to put it simply he's a Mexican superstar and the WBC is run by Mexicans.

This is supposed to be a voluntary title defense while the mandatory waits for him. Since he is making it clear that he will not face his Middleweight mandatory at the middleweight limit, this should no longer be a voluntary title defense.

It should be non-title fight at 155 between two top names.
WBC allowed Floyd to defend his 154 strap when fighting Maidana II, at 147... therefore...

Canelo should be shunned and forced to wear a dress while GGG needs to pursue another career that suits his aspirations e.g. cleaning toilets
