Should the WBC strip Canelo of his title before the Amir Khan fight?

Since he has went on record saying that he does not intend to budge on the catchweight of 155, therefore does not intend on facing GGG afterwards, should the WBC just go ahead and strip him right now?

This is supposed to be a voluntary title defense while the mandatory waits for him. Since he is making it clear that he will not face his Middleweight mandatory at the middleweight limit, this should no longer be a voluntary title defense.

It should be non-title fight at 155 between two top names.

No, might as well give him the benefit of the doubt until after the fight since he would only have 15 days to negotiate anyway.

The WBC will strip Golovkin of his mandatory ranking before they strip Alvarez of his title. After the Khan fight, Alvarez will ask for three more voluntary defenses before he is forced to fight his mandatory (Golovkin). The WBC will grant his request, just as they did with Wilder and Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. Alvarez held the WBC 154-pound title for three years and never fought a mandatory opponent. If anyone is ****** enough to think that the WBC will strip him for not fighting Golovkin, then I have a bridge I want to sell you.

No because if Khan gets the upset his crazy enough to go for unification, wait til we get a winner if Canelo wins then yes take his belt away make GGG vs Saunders for all the belts

If Khan wins he has to fight Canelo ago. There's a rematch clause.
