What makes Gennady any different?
Yeah but in this article he's talking about weight disadvantages; when in both cases, he had a weight advantage.

I actually agree that if GGG should budge and if he's as good as they say he is it shouldn't matter. But at the same time if you can't make 155 healthy then you shouldn't take the fight. Because Canelo is the best fighter he will have ever faced as a pro by far.

All posturing until the fight is truly negotiated and made.
I believe the fight will probably meet somewhere in the middl . 158.

Saul is evading the genuine issue. He should never have accepted a middleweight belt if he can't defend it against the best at the allocated weight.
Guys like Alvarez and Cotto dilute the notion of a true 160 pound division.
They are simply not that kind of Ray Leonard special.

At least Cotto legitimately wasnt a middleweight when he tried something very similar and he actually fought a middleweight to win the belts regardless of if Martinez was shot.

Canelo is a flat-track bully who wont fight opponents his own size. Either relinquish the belts and drop back down or man up and fight some actual middleweights!

Also, he can't be holding the mandatory card against Canelo and then go and not defend against his own mandatory, it's called double standards.

Finally, to prove how much of a ***** Canelo is, why don't you ask yourself why he complained about the 155 catchweight after the Cotto deal was signed, saying he wanted the fight at 156 but that Cotto insisted on 155, and then after the fight, he goes on and says that his weight is 155 and that GGG must fight him there or no deal, even though he went live and complained about 155 when the deal with Cotto was signed?

This guy is a ***** ass and you know the answer to the above question.
Technically Gran Turino is his mandatory. But since their is no #2 RANKED IBF guy they gift it to Wade who needed a gift decision against a 42 year old man..

That's the problem with the alphabet soup belts. They rank boxers as mandatories who have no business being in the same ring. You know DEAD BOXERS have been RANKED before???

I didn't read the story but is it because he's putting a 1lb ***** in his vagina prior to weigh in to make it into the middleweight division?

Goof on Canelo not withstanding the reality is Canelo is the A side & the A side can do what they want with or without reason to some degree in boxing today with its asses in seats & PPV buys atmosphere.

Until boxing decides to get a NFL of boxing going there will always be this lack of parity cuz in this small corner of the boxing world Canelo is king & boxing itself is secondary. And there are all sorts of imbalances in boxing at all levels.

Canelo is right, he is the A side on this match up when it comes with attraction. GGG is one of those fighters that are very excited to watch, but on regular TV. His PPV number are very low compare to Canelo's and that makes him the B player. If you guys know Cotto when it comes to demands? you know what Canelo is talking about! Mayweather is known to have adavategaes over the fighter he feels are dangerous, he made Canelo come in at 152, he made and paid Marquez for a fight at 147 and he came up at 152 for that Marquez fight, advantage and advantages are part of this new era of catch weights! Everyone does it now days, so why not Canelo?

I hope Canelo drops the belt.

And then GGG has to fight the next WBC MANDATORY.... Jorge Sabastian Heilan!!!

Ggg career is gonna be PATHETIC!!!!

So let me get this straight. Canelo owns a middleweight title. Fighting GGG at middleweight is now a disadvantage? Also he mentions disadvantage in the Mayweather fight. However in that fight he was the one starving himself to make 152. Against GGG he won't have to go through that. He wants no "disadvantage" yet he expects GGG to go through the disadvantage. 155lbs is not a weight class. If you can't do middleweight than drop down to 154.
