  • Chris Byrd...... give hima Break.

Give Chris Byrd a break. He really is small heavyweight and was fighting a true Giant and was fighting in the other guy's hometown. also, through the yrs chris has ducked no one and has had many big fights, it can be diffucult o get up physically and mentally for such and also , chris depended a lot on reflexes and now at age 32 he might not be a as quick as he was early on , so he lost but he has still has a good solid carer as a fighter......... ................Also sometimes a fighter can box and just be there physcailly and not much else, it happened to Tyson aagaisnt Douglass and Ali agaisnt Norton and other fighers also..........

    Give him a break?

He was running his mouth before the fight, and he got his ass handed to him. He questioned Wlad's heart, and said he was going to test it. He said he was going to go in there...and knock Wlad out.

All Wlad had to say was Chris was an excellent champion and he wasn't the same fighter he once fought.

He ran his mouth, and got ****ed up. Rightfully so.

Byrd definitely deserved that ass-kicking. He put the fight off for a year and paid for it. Byrd's stint at heavyweight was a joke. If you can't punch, you don't belong with the big boys.

i wouldnt call it a "stint" when you've been there most of your carear... hes beat to many good fighters to call him a chump

I think Byrd fought the wrong fight, for sure. It was a big stage, and I think Byrd was more concerned with proving that he was a legitimate heavy-weight than actually fighting smart. He takes a lot of flak for not having a big punch, and not being exciting by standing and trading. I think all of that talk bothers him, and he wanted to try to be the guy people have been asking him to be. It was a bad choice. I feel a little bad, the way he lost. He seems like a nice guy. He had his wife screaming at him the whole time and everything. It was a bad way to lose.

I thought his whole stand and trade strategy he talked about
before the fight was absurd. And sure enough,he paid for it.
Some people really thought he was going to knockout Wlad

Iv just watched the fight, and Byrd was pathetic.

He was gettin hit with slow ass, predictable right hands, and put no effort into his offence.
