The Ring, ranks Canelo as the best middleweight on the planet.... despite him never actually fighting at middleweight, and never fighting a middleweight opponent.

The IBF ranks Dominic Wade as the #1 contender.

I have no idea how any boxing fan could point to ANY boxing organisation without laughing.

The outfit that you are referring to are likely using genuine P4P criteria, which heavily relies on familiarization, and the eye test..... and is centered around who would likely win in a fight..... I wouldn't take any of them as gospel, they all have different criteria.

How does ward know what adversity is? Did he have a doctors appointment outside of Oakland?

And since then, Bute has done absolutely nothing LMAO

He has actually done NOTHING, EVER !
That's not the point. Would Ward have beat him? Yes. The point was Showtime did its part to build up Bute for him. At that particular moment Bute was considered the 2nd best SMW and the stage was set for a huge fight with Ward. Rather than take the fight he like an idiot declined.

Who moves up to avoid a fighter 15 lb lighter? That's ******. Anyone who is chasing a fight with Kovalev isn't scared of GGG. Hell, even Barrera is scarier

A Ward/Bute fight was never a real option.

Ward didn't believe Bute was a worthy challenger but that's moot because he was injured when the fight was being discussed and couldn't have fought Bute anyway.......props to Froch to stepping in to redeem himself after losing to Ward.

This simply isn't true. At the press conference Ward said he had no interest in fighting Bute. He even suggested that Bute fight Froch. Dude didn't think a Bute was worth it.
However once the Bute and Froch deal was signed out comes Ward saying he was disappointed that the fight with Bute wasn't made etc etc.

How is my post not true?

We're both in agreement that Ward didn't think very highly of Bute. Ward's comments weren't the deciding factor in the fight not happening though. What killed the possibility of the fight during that time was Ward's broken hand, an injury he sustained during the training camp for the Froch fight.
