Where to begin?

Here's what I know about the Logan Act:

1. It was signed into law in 1799.
2. Since 1799 there has been one prosecution under it.
3. That lone prosecution was in 1803 and was unsuccessful.

Consitutional scholars have expressed skepticism as to whether the Logan Act is constitutional, with many opining that it is hopelessly vague and overbroad. So why is it still on the books? Why hasn't it been declared unconstitutional? Because you can't challenge constitutionality unless you have a live case or controversy. Once again there hasn't been a live case or controversy under the Logan Act since 1803.

You call it absolute treason and one of the worst examples...man. Where did you learn history? Who gave you your law degree? Trump University? The Tea Party? Don't bother responding -- there's a conspiracy theory out there just waiting for you to discover it.

He is a populist and a nationalist. That does not make him a *******. Fascism is a system of government. It originated in Italy as an offshoot of the syndicalists. Fascism is cooperative syndicalism. Nothing trump has proposed has any similarity what so ever to cooperative syndicalism. Or at least I have not heard Trump proposing that every single sector of the economy be restructure into their own syndicates controlled by a cooperative of owners, labor, and party. Personally I dont think Trump is that smart. I dont agree with Gentelli's(the fonder of Fascism) approach to economics but there is no denying the fact that the man was brilliant.

When you consider the importance of the party in the ******* system and take a look at he current relationship between Trump and the party to call him a ******* is absolutely laughable.

Let's put our little debate here back in context. Someone else said ***** committed culpable crimes. I said, "Ok. Back that up. Name a single law he violated and show how he violated."

You chimed in with a patently weak example: the Logan Act and the Bilderburg Convention. I said, "Is that the best you can come up with," and then proceeded to show you how meaningless that law has been since it took effect 217 years ago.

Your response was, effectively, "Come on, dude. It's treason."

You then posted several links to a single, far-right website which is driven by a strong anti-***** agenda. Your "research" is not driven by a search for truth. You are merely looking for views that reinforce your own perspective.

Blatant treason by whom? Rockefeller? How is *****, in 2008, responsible for comments made by Rockefeller 17 years earlier? Neither the Constitution, which you claim to value, nor common sense would permit a criminal conviction against one individual for the statements of another individual 17 years earlier.

On a related point, you seem to have a problem with chronology. You blame ***** for destroying the Constitution and you point to the Patriot Act and the Homeland Security Act? When were those acts passed?

So, to recap, you have pointed to three different sources of law as evidence of *****'s criminality:

1. The Logan Act (one criminal prosecution since 1799);
2. The Patriot Act (passed in the first year of W's first term);
3. The Homeland Security Act (passed in the second year of W's first term).

What else would you like to pin on *****? Was that him on the grassy knoll?
