I've got wind of Haye vs. Briggs being scheduled. Does anybody have confirmation of this yet? Another boxing website with fighting schedules has posted the date for the fight like it's scheduled. Thanks.

I don't see this fight happening, Haye is not looking at the WBA as a short term route to a title shot as it isn't a short term fix, he would have to wait for these rounds of eliminators to play out which will take around a year minimum then he would be front of the queue after that, beating Briggs would put him in line to face the WBA super champ likely after Fury is no longer in possession of it.

Browne is far more likelier but as Browne himself said 'its bullshyt'. I could see a unification of sorts versus Joshua if Haye could pick up the WBA regular belt.

Briggs makes me laugh as much as Haye, they deserve each other.

Anyways Briggs is a legit bum when it comes to any heavyweight boxer with talent these days. I give Briggs no shot at beating anyone in the top 10 right now. Haye by knock out.
