The show will go on for Hughie Fury, who remains on course to fight twice in a span of five weeks. The unbeaten heavyweight has a new opponent for his March 26 appearance at Wembley's SSE Arena in London, with Dominick Guinn answering the call on short notice.

The faded American journeyman replaces Nagy Aguilera, who withdrew one week ago due to injury.

Wow, I remember Guinn. He showed a lot of potential and I remember his big win vs Michael Grant when he was 27 years old. Though Grant's chin had been known, it was still impressive seeing the way Guinn stopped him. Great left hook.

I wish there was a true boxing commission that would evaluate a fighter's career after a series of losses. That would give them opportunities maybe in the fight game to "start considering your long term future". Not just a talk, but actually have plans in place. Maybe linking up with various organizations they can make a living being a part of or something. I know that boxing is these guy's lives and it's hard to step away mentally and financially.

It would be interesting if somehow a commission would evaluate a fighter based on what they've given to the sport, the promise they showed, professionalism, etc. Then give them some sort of "insurance-like" cash out. Enough money (that if spent right) would help set them and their family for life or at least 10 years so long as they retire from official in-ring competition.

Believe it or not, I seriously thought that Guinn was going to be the next great American HW champ back in the day. He had real talent, but so frail between the ears.
