that whole "he didn't fight khan because khan wasnt enough of big name challenge" thing kind of went out the window when it was revealed that he ended negotiations and fought berto, khans lesser known training partner
just admit it was a duck and probably a good one. khans strengths and weaknesses would be a difficult matchup for floyds strengths and weaknesses. fast featherfisted guy vs faster fragile guy.Comment

There is absolutely no reason for Pacquiao to duck Khan. We all know that one straight left from Pacquiao will flatten Khan.Floyd didn't avoid Khan, he fought Maidana who was simply a better sell after beating lil Bro.
Now Pacquiao on the other hand, I don't know what happened there. Khan was his best sell but he went with his least best sell in Bradley. So maybe there was some ducking involved there.
More likely, Pacquiao was more concerned by the 1-1 record he has with Bradley. People may pretend they don't care about that now but we all know that History will look back and say Pac had a 1-1 record with Bradley, and no one will remember that the first first was a so called robbery. Pac is a competetive guy just like Mayweather, that's why Mayweather rematched Castillo and Maidana immediately, and that's why Pac is re-rematching Bradley.
There is also the matter of Bob Arum. He would have obviously prefered an inhouse promotion as opposed to dealing with Golden Boy and Al Haymon.Comment

The same Floyd who couldn't even make the 152 catchweight against Canelo (150.5lbs on one day weigh in and 150lbs on the dot on fight night) and only weighed in at 148 pounds in the second Maidana fight?
Is that the Floyd that would outweigh Khan by 8 pounds?
Perhaps you need to redo your primary school mathematics son.Comment

Yet Berto has done more at Welterweight than Amir Khan. What does that say about Amir? Hmmm?
You think it is a coincidence Floyd picked a guy from the same gym as Khan, also with the same trainer as Khan, who also happens to be a two time world champion at welterweight as opposed to Amir who aint got **** at welterweight?
You think its a coincidence that Floyd later dissed Khan in person about getting knocked out by Garcia during the Garcia-Guerrero showdown?
Floyd is impressing on Amir Khan the reason he didn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breathe as him, and also what he gotta do to get the sweepstakes.
Khan seems to have heeded the message, but as usual, his idiocy caused him to take it too far. All he had to do was fight Garcia as his mando to avenge the loss and become the wbc champ, and then get a big ppv unification in Brittain with Kell Brook. Mayweather would have definitely come back from retirement for that.
Instead he just went and signed himself into a deathmatch with a light heavyweight posing as caneloweight...err...155 catchweighter.
Having said that however, props if Khan wins and May should come back and fight him if he wins, unlikely as it is.Comment

I don't believe that for 1 second.
And that is certainly not how their sparring played out.
It is very difficult to argue that 2x superstars ducked a fighter who never actually proved himself at the weight.
Khan did nothing to earn that fight, he wouldn't even fight Brook ffs.Comment

They seriously need to come up with a new selling point for this mismatch nobody buying that crapComment

yeah big bro did a poll and everything on who the fans think big bro should fight. The fans voted for khan buit big bro avoided that and went straight to chino. why would big bro make a poll only to not honor it?? and then after facing chino, big bro gave him a rematch right after. LOL.. and then to make matters worst, big bro had the chance to redeem himself, but instead he picked berto for his last fight. i repeat he picked BERTO for his last fight.Floyd didn't avoid Khan, he fought Maidana who was simply a better sell after beating lil Bro.
