Ah just checked Boxrec, I remember him, a has been and in the last couple years very inactive guy with bad divaesque attitude and no connection to the fans and who can't sell any tickets, well at least he has a fight coming up this week but not a single betting site has odds on his fight. Fighting another solid fighter might be in order, depends on how he feels in the ring and how he performs against Barrera. Makes no difference to me as long as Ward and his camp go with what they feel will make them most ready to do their best against Kovalev.

that said Ward shot himself in the foot. he had sooo much momentum in '10-'11. He really wasted the prime years of his career. At least GGG, even with difficulty getting big fights over the years from lineal champs, Martinez, Cotto and Canelo, keeps busy, knocking guys out 3-4 times per yr
