I call it the way I see it. You guys even praise dudes that even do illegal tactics. I appreciate boxers that actually box.

It is cowardly, there is no other way to put it.

HOWEVER, you can box while going forward. You can be smart when attacking. You can keep your ground by fighting in the center of the ring. But calling running backwards "boxing" is a disguise for being scared and a coward.
So these guys were cowards by your definition right? Sugar Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali, Roy Jones, Pernell Whitaker, Willie Pep were cowards right?

They "ran" side to side and backwards......you do realize 5 were unquestionably the best of their era and all of these guys are considered top 20 all time greats......its been obvious a long time ago...you just come on here to troll, play devil's advocate but your boxing acumen is high, you just like to troll and thats ok

you know a bit about the sport but I know some of the stuff you say is just for kicks

Im assuming you are talking about Ward....anyone with a martial arts background knows it starts with your feet.

was hitting his opponents illegal? last time I checked none of his fights were up for debate, clearly won

I'm not talking about just Ward, I'm talking about all boxers. Some do it more than others.

Running and excessive clinching should be called for what it is, which is one dimensional type of fighting. Inside skills is lacking. People need to stop this nonsense.

I could tolerate running, but adding excessive clinching to the mix is way too much to stomach. Yes, it's cowardly.

Most people dont know **** about boxing, have ever laced up a pair of gloves or even sparred a few rounds but want to call the most important part of the sport running.

Boxing isnt rock em sock em robots...if you dont have good footwork you wont be a good fighter regardless of style or temperment.

real trainers train from the feet up, thats how Merhav Mohar taught me and thats how I will begin with my stable
I can understand your point but theres to sides to every coin. Lateral movement aka. "running" has and will always be apart of boxing but like anything it can be to excessive. If its being used to set up offense than its being used properly and defines ring generalship but if its used to avoid a fight than that is not being a ring general nor is it being effective. Keith Thurman is a great example of how to use lateral movement to set up offense, Lara is a good example of excessive lateral movement. Also to say sock em bopper robot type boxers have no skill is kinda harsh too because its a style and styles make fights. Theres a lot of lateral movers that cant handle pressure or cant fight on the inside which is a skill in itself.

                Running *****es are disgusting

a fight is meant to be won with your fists, not your feet

I detest fighters who try to win just by running and pot shotting

only aiming at scoring points, never going for the KO, never taking risks. **** them, they should receive pennies for that kind of effort
