Why isn't Loeffler throwing a fit about the rematch clause? If Khan wins he has to fight Canelo again. Is GGG going to step aside again? Loeffler should be going to bat for GGG like Arum would've done and like DiBella did for Sergio. These guys are just sitting back letting everybody do what they want to do. GGG has peaked with K2.

I think what he meant to say was "A fight with Amir Khan would be a huge mismatch!"
I seriously doubt my opinion about Khan/GGG will change if Khan beats Canelo. But in the hilariously unlikely event that Khan gets a stoppage win, I imagine many other people will be rooting for Khan/GGG to go down.Comment

This is funny and sad at the same time. Either way, I've been trying to think of a similar situation in the past to what we have at middleweight right now. And the best one I could come up with is when Roy Jones beat Ruiz for a paper heavyweight trinket, while Lennox Lewis was the real champ. And you had almost a sub-heavyweight division with smaller guys like Roy, Chris Byrd (who was a trinket holder), Toney, and a few more guys. And they were never really expected to try and challenge Lewis for the legit title.
I think that since Cotto won the belt from Martinez, a similar situation is taking place with that title's lineage. Cotto, and now Canelo are jr middleweights. And since Khan is challenging, he's really a welterweight. Would it be nice if whomever emerges with the quasi middleweight title challenges GGG? Yes. Is it necessary? Absolutely not.Comment

IF Khan beats Canelo, no doubt about it. I mean, he would be holding the 160 title and would become a bigger name than Canelo. If he beats Canelo, he is better, simple as that. I am all for it if that's the case.Comment
