It's more significant with the Floyd fight. Mayweather came in overweight for that fight, and had to pay Marquez $600k. It was Juan's first fight above 135.

So barely beating a 40 year old Juan is better? both fights were at the 147 limit...Floyd weighed 146

You seem to forget it was a catch-weight fight @ 144, Floyd failed to make that weight and was fined $600k.

No, I didn't say that. What I'm saying is though Floyd outclassed Juan, he also enjoyed a nice size advantage. You said Mayweather didn't get many props for beating up Marquez. The size disparity is likely why. Not sure if you can tell from this vid, but I remember that fight. My homies & I agreed that Floyd looked quite bigger. He also declined to be unofficially weighed that night.

Since then, his run has consisted of the following fights, in chronological order:

              Pacquiao (W) WBO title
              Ruslan Provodnikov (W)
              Marquez (W)
              Pacquiao (L)
              Diego Chaves (D)
              Jessie Vargas (W)
              Rios (W) WBO title

In that time, Bradley has become a 2 time WBO champ, beaten 2 HOFers (one of them very dubiously) and been in 2 FOTY contenders. That's not bad and far better than the likes of Porter, Thurman, Brook, Khan, Guerrero and Garcia. I won't even bother mentioning Berto and Ortiz.

It's pretty obvious to me that he is the 3rd best ww of his generation, second only to Mayweather and Pacquiao.

              What do you guys think?
Bradley clearly is the best WW not named Pacquiao or Floyd (un-retired) I myself was a doubter for a while but oddly after he dismantled Rios my mind changed. Now I know Rios isnt world class at welter weight BUT he is still a tuff big dude, Bradley also beat Vargas whom I think recently showed he can hold his own with an athletic boxer. Bradleys athleticism mixed with his uncanny conditioning puts him over the top of all WW's again not named Pacquiao or Mayweather. Bradley can outbox you, like he did against Marquez (a fight that was closer than most realize) he can out gun you (like he did against Rios & Vargas), & he can outbrawl you like he did against Provo. He may not be as smooth as Floyd in the ring adjusting but he has multiple ways of beating anyone. He just needs to find a happy median with Pacquiao and keep it consistent and he will beat Pac handily I think.

It's meh...but compared to these other dudes it looks great. He's benefitted from the cold war being a big fish in a small pond.

I'm concerned Crawford will suffer the same fate.

Bradley's best run was at light ww, not ww, at light ww he beat Miguel Vazquez, Kendall Holt, Nate Campel, Luis Abregu, Lamont Peterson and Devon Alexander, he beat all these guys in their primes but unfortunatley he didn't get the hype that he deserved at that time. People started paying more attention to him after the Pacquiao fight and some people don't like him for the decision, which is a damn shame really. However I think Bradley's best days were at 140 and he's past his best with or without Teddy Atlas or whatever, he can still compete at the elite level though, but I don't see him being able to seperate himself from the rest of the pack at 147.

                    Agreed for the most part.

I just don't think any version of Bradley beats Pacquiao, he couldn't outbox him in the first fight or outbrawl him in the sequel. Why? Because Bradley is not a truly great fighter. But he is an exceptional fighter and one who can beat a who's who of top fighters, just not the likes of Pacquiao.

Other than that, Bradley has been the best welter from 2010 till now, not named May or Pac. I can't really see an argument for anyone else except maybe Cotto (can't remember when he moved to 154).

He didn't barely beat JMM, he beat him quite comfortable. Only mexicans or Floyd fans think it was close or a JMM win.

The Associated Press, ESPN, Ring etc etc etc all had Bradley winning, a few of them felt it was a pretty clear victory.

Anyway, what's Mayweather got to do with this? Other than not fighting Bradley that is.

why mention Ortiz?? lol dude has been irrelevant for almost half a decade
I mentioned all the other relevant welters of recent years. So I ask you again, what other welter (not the obvious 2) have got better wins or better performances and could realistically be ranked higher than Bradley?

Porter? Thurman? Khan? Brook? Berto? Ortiz? Guerrero?

If not them, then who else?
