Outside of mayweather n Leonard no top fighters have long lay offs then fight elite or great fighters out the gate

But hey they couldn't whine about his inactivity anymore so crapping on his opponent was the next best thing

    Lame
it wasn't that long and it was entirely his own fault. he just had a tune up and now he's having another one. that's why people are laughing at him.

I keep seeing people bring this up, but don't remember this and can't find anything on it. Could you provide proof that K2 wanted the Ward fight after Dawson?

At the time of the Ward/Dawson fight Andre was the bigger name by far why wouldn't his team expect to receive the lions share of the purse

I like both fighters and don't think either are scared of each other but do believe K2 doesn't want any piece of Ward because it'll most likely derail the hype train that GGG is riding first class in.

Unless you consider the likes of Ortiz and Guerrero great fighters, that list would only include SRL. If you do than I can name about 10 fighters that fought elite or great fighters after a long layoff.

He fought the P4P #2 as a tune up after a 2 year break.
