Canelo made 155 easy a few months ago and can still make 154 (I believe he'll have 154lb belts soon). He said not too long ago that he will be back at 154...most guys fight at the lowest weight they can make, nothing new.
Canelo is clearly bigger than he was 2-3 years ago

He's 25 now, he's thicker, and has more mass on him.

He's not making 154, not without some special help and aftercare help..peds and iv's

Triple G are Nelo are the same size and at 160 it would be a fair fight

        No, he isn't.

His heaviest weight was years ago. The difference now is purely composition, his lean body mass is increased and his body fat is lower. He's going to be the same size as usual, his body composition is simply better.

At age 25, he just made weight easier and healthier than ever before. He will have no problem making 154.

Candela is a diva ass chump, he probably shares fishnets with Oscar. I hope Khan breaks him up even though it's just a mere pipe dream.....I only need one miracle, just one.

This will be the 2nd time he'll come in weighing 155, i think against Kirkland he was 154.5.

He was probably weighing over 170 against Cotto come fight night

Like Hunter said, he'd like to be a fly on the wall and see how Canelo is taking off 15-20lbs and putting it back on under 24hrs

The limit has been 155 for his last 4 fights, he was 155 against Lara at age 23, same weight for Cotto, but he made weight much easier for the Cotto fight.

Canelo walks around in the 175-180 range (he gets a little fat), gets to around 160 2 weeks before a fight and does what many fighters do in sweating off the last few lbs. Its not difficult to rehydrate and fuel back up.

Terence Crawford gains 15lbs overnight, Maidana gains around 18lbs, it's common practice for boxers. Virgil Hunter himself should know, his own fighter in Angulo gained 20lbs when he fought Canelo.

Hunter said Angulo looked like absolute **** and passed out a few times, nearly cracked his head open. They spent all the camp trying to bring his weight down.

Canelo needs to move up after this fight, i dont see the point of fighting these smaller guys. He can obviously make 160 and there is no reason to avoid Triple G.

Yeah, that's Hunter talking nonsense and deflecting blame again. In the lead up to the fight, everything was great according to Hunter, after his guy got demolished he quickly changed his tune and put every bit of blame elsewhere. Now he's asking how it's possible to regain that amount of weight when his own fighter gained more.

Canelo wasn't any bigger than Kirkland, he was smaller than Angulo, he doesn't need to move up if he feels comfortable. I'd just prefer he let the belt go as he doesn't need it.
