    Frankie Gomez vs Herrera

According to multiple sources on twitter, this fight is gonna be on the Canelo - Khan undercard.

A win over Herrera makes Gomez top 5, possibly top 3 at 140. He's already got a win over Granados who I think definitely is top 5.

If Gomez can stay disciplined and commit to boxing, he will do some serious damage, he's a very exciting and gritty fighter. If he beats Herrera, which I think he will without too much trouble, I can see him fighting the winner of Crawford vs Postol at the end of this year.

Frankie Gomez is such a disappointment.
His inability to stay focus on boxing will prevent him from ever being great.

kind of hard to think about this until frankie makes weight for 140.

last couple of fights he wasn't anywhere near that weight..

Herrera will son Gomez if that fight goes down. De La Hoya must be on crack if he's even thinking about making that fight. Gomez couldn't put a dent in Jorge Silva or Silverio Ortiz and they wanna throw him in against a fighter that Danny Garcia, Ruslan Provodnikov, and Jose Benavidez Jr. couldn't put a dent in?

If we are talking about the Herrera who has fought Provonikov, Garcia, Lundy, Jose Benavidez, then Gomez gets beat. Not in the same class or experience level and struggles with guys who are not even club level. He doesn't even hit half as hard as the guys Herrera has fought either.

This could be the fight that shows if Gomez is for real or not. I know he's got talent, but I question his motivation & heart. This fight would require more than just his talent. Hope it gets made.

Goldenboys stable is so weak that the undercard has no chance of being good.

If this was a few years ago they could have put Ortiz-Berto 2 on the undercard or something.
