Comments Thread For: Povetkin's Promoter: Top Euro Lab To Handle Tests in Wilder Bout
Collapse

i remeber povetkin was the mando for the IBF and declined to fight klit...
i dont remember a big fuss about that...im not encouraging wilder to not take the fight, but povetkin said he was not ready yet...and keep in minfd he wouldnt even have to travel to take the fight and had nearly 200 pre pro career bouts...
wilder had about 30 overall bouts and has to go to a place of MANY uncertainties for your respect tho?? something just not adding up!Comment

"TOP" euro lab aka i'll give u a name after i put in the fix..
we're about to see one of the worst drug testing screw ups since brook vs porter
i woudl say may pac, but brook, the fighter, actual was complaining no some writer that has been grinding an ax for years.
all those articles he was writing and no one cares bc every higher up told him he dont know wat the *** he was talkin about and that all his facts were speculative at best..
he basically heard the news of TUE when we all did and sharpened his pencil and continued to grind that aforementioned axComment

cant help but to feel a little fish when russia has this background..and not just in the past..i saw a storyline on espn 2 days ago maybe about 15 unnamed russian sport stars testing postive for the same drug that the famous womans tennis player was taking...
it was a stamina drug..guess who has more stamina now lol, but that could be a product of hardwork..
my real concern is that this man is never concrete..always vague beginning wiht him and keeping people out of the loop..words like "top"..um no thanks do some naming and let ppl research them...we do know this test was only talked about when wilder threw it out there..
anybody wanna dig up the testing for povetkin's last 2 fights??
How about you stop whining about Povetkin and dig up some testing data about Wilder's fights?
I'll save you the trouble of looking ... there isn't any.Comment

I know the Russia story is the flavor of the week but:
Just about every pro athlete on the planet is doping even (or especially) at the highest levels. The US and Russia both had multiple doping posts in the last olympics.
I'd go by looking at the athletes, not what country they're from.Comment

hasnt cried about using vada nor usada while povetkin only stepped away from known cheats RUSADA so wlad wouldnt walk away from the fight..and he was gassed in 3 rounds that night...not to hard to see bddyComment

By the face of it, VADA would be ideal it being an international, independent organization. My guess is Ryabinsky will use Germany's National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), which handled Vlad-Povetkin following the disputes leading up to that fight.Comment

Povetkin's manager wanted VADA testing for that fight, when Wlad wouldn't agree to RUSADA, but Wlad wouldn't agree to that either.
Whatever, there is no reason for you to keep crying about RUSADA .... they won't be handling the testing for Wilder/Povetkin, that's for sure.Last edited by kafkod; 03-14-2016, 07:28 AM.Comment

A nameless lab. Not even an anti-doping agency, just "a top lab in Europe."
So he admits he overspent on the fight (the promoter said he will lose money and that he could have done better holding the fight in the U.S. money-wise but instead wants it in Russia so Povetkin will be "more comfortable") but won't spend on VADA.
I have a feeling Sasha's comfort is tied to testing, or lack thereof.Comment
