Nicholas Walters is undefeated and has been a world champion. Fonfara has neither of those things going for him.

Is that enough of a difference for you?
Nonsense. Undefeated don't mean squat in the box office. How long have you been watching boxing?

Thing here is Fonfara is their main choice, and possibly only choice at this point. Anyone else is riskier, ie, Alvarez, or won't do well in the gates. That's the reason why Fonfara is taking a hardline approach here. He knew they want him badly.

IMO Fonfara is better than Alvarez, tho not by much. But Alvarez is with Gym, so win win for them

They knew hell will break loose if Stevenson will take another Karpency-type opponent. Fonfara 2 is just right for Adonis' next opponent.

GYM's promoter mentioned three names for Stevenson's next fight: Fonfara, Alvarez and Rodriguez, who just recently agreed to fight Williams as one of the undercards in the Porter/Thurman fight. So who else is there for Stevenson?

If all goes as planned, promoter Yvon Michel of GYM will stage two big events in the coming months in Montreal. The first event would feature the return of former super middleweight world champion Lucian Bute (32-3, 25 KOs) at the end of April or early May against an opponent who still needs to be undetermined. Then the other would possibly take place on the 4th of June with WBC champion heavyweight Adonis Stevenson (27-1, 22 KOs) as the headliner.

Fight is off because Haymon has no leverage.

Undefeated fighters who have been world champions command higher paydays. It's simple.

Why are you acting as if this is confusing?
