LOL, "He beat me up" can be a figure of speech man, just like "this dude is a monster" or "he took it to me". Describing something as give and take or tough is in no way remotely close to describing a one sided affair and Bradley isn't going to just sit there and say he got handled if that's what happened. He said the same kind of thing about Matthysse when he sparred him, said he was a beast and that Matts hurt his stomach but Bradley pretty much controlled the rounds.

People can read into things however they want to I guess.

They can't go on fighting come-forward fighters just to look good. They need to fight.
Yup, that's one of the fights I find most appealing currently.

I can't take a sparring "outcome" too seriously. You never know where guys were at. Was Crawford in his last week of training camp & super sharp & was Bradley coming off a 3 month layoff from training & out of shape? Was Bradley working on one specific thing in the ring that day & Crawford was just trying to win? There are numerous situations you could come up with that could lessen the importance of this "outcome". Then there is that sparring is sparring. All in all this is fairly meaningless as with most sparring W's & L's. Names & legacies are built on fight night, not on sparring days.

I'm still not sold on Crawford as some future Floyd or Manny type guy or PPV star. Obviously he's a talented guy, but I don't see him as very battle tested vs tip top guys or having been chin checked yet. Well I think Gamboa chin checked him, but Gamboa was too small & arguably not peak due to his layoff to fully capitalize on it. I also don't see him as anywhere near the appeal of Floyd or Manny to translate into a PPV guy. I'd love to see Crawford vs Postol or vs Lucas or someone else with some ****** level power & see what happens.

I'd love to see this fight, but since when do casual fans love chess match fights? I doubt this fight holds much appeal to casuals going in unless they are on the Crawford bandwagon already. I think Postol is still unknown or virtually unknown to some hardcore fans let alone casuals. This is for sure one of the fights I'd most like to see in the sport right now doe.

Bradley's the most overrated fighter of the past couple of years. Never been a fan.

Bradley already reiterated he's not fighting Crawford. Pacquiao is retiring. Marquez came out just yesterday and he wants a tuneup fight first if he ever comes back. And they're talking about Vargas, not Crawford.

People need to stop using the above names to somehow excuse Crawford for avoiding Postol, who is the only one available and willing to fight him.

Sparring is sparring, you never know if someone is in shape or not, going full throttle, and all that stuff... However if Bradley is saying that i'll believe him, they seemed very hot sparring sessions...

I like Crawford, but he's very unproven as of now, i want to see him against better guys near his size, feasting on smaller men will do no good for him in preparation for the big fights... Provodnikov would be a good test, and a difficult fight, in my opinion...

He's not ready for Pacquiao, even this faded version with his mind to politic... Pacquiao fought well against Mayweather even with a sore shoulder, showed great defence and counterpunching, he didn't get outboxed at all, not even close...

Let's see how he does with Bradley, if he loses and looks bad, Arum is ready to make the fight with Crawford... And there is Postol waiting also...

No clue why you quoted my post talking a bunch of stuff I never brought up. Plus I don't really see people bringing up any of the names you mentioned as much as they bring up Postol except Manny cuz the Manny fight was seemingly on the table & Manny is one of the biggest draws in the sport obviously.

I don't think Crawford is getting all that much sympathy except from the HBO fanboys. I suspect we see Crawford vs Postol this year. Its the biggest fight to make at 140 by far. Both guys are affiliated with HBO. And there isn't anything else interesting to make happen at 140 (unless Broner crosses the Haymon/HBO barrier). Plus its still only March. Plenty of time for this to be built up even in the marination era & happen before the year is out.

I understand the high risk, low reward prospect, but isn't this how boxing should be? Fight the worthy opponent in your division?
If Crawford really is the "next big thing" then put him in with Postol and move towards as much of a 140 unification that can be achieved due to politics.

Crawford and Postol both TR so should be fairly straightforward to make and Postol wants it, so why would Crawford not . . . .
