I can't believ these ppl think Toney at 37yrs old 5'9'' and overweight (hell in shape) could contend with what they saw last nite. And yes Byrd would have made Toney look ameturish if they would have fought...he's alot better fighter then Toney. I guess these boys are now desperate for a hope

lol a great black hope!! i love it, only in amerikkka!! but seriously all the titles seem to b going over there now, i just wish doctor klit would go back to doctoring and let the real fighters fight, after all this is boxing not sum giant dumb europeeon slug fest!! or wait yeah it is...

I said long ago that Toney would never fight Vitali, and yes he turned that fight down.

And I'm saying now that Toney will never fight Wladimir. Period. Bank on it. Never. Ever. Never. So just forget any hypothetical scenario.

Toney is very smart about picking who he's going to fight, and tip-toeing around the tougher fights. He's a smart fighter and a smart guy outside the ring, most of that ****** talk is a pure act. He knows as well as anyone else that he doesn't have a prayer of beating Wladimir, so he will never fight him. Oh, he'll TALK about it, just like he talked about fighting Vitali (yet turned down a 60/40 split with options to face Vitali), but he will never, ever fight Wladimir. Just trust me. This is fantasy talk.

Wlad's reach advantage would be huge.As skilled as Toney is,
I don't think he would get to close to Wlad. The jab would be
          brutal

quick analysis of toney vs w klitschko:

after measuring up eachother, wlad works the jab as toney tries to go to the body early - much like byrd was doing in the first 2 rounds. wladimir gets warmed up closing in on the middle rounds and starts to unleash the fire of hell(his right hand). a battered and bloody toney sits on the ropes trying not to get popped from pillar to post. remember rahman was literally moving toney across the ring with his punches, and rahman doesn't exactly have klitschko's stature or pop. eventually, the ref stops the fight on account of toney taking too many punches.

well, that's how i envision it happening anyways.

But Toney unlike Byrd is a physical testiment to marshmellows. I say Wlad puts him on da ropes or in da corner and KOs by the 6th
