Duran ruined his rematch with Leonard because of being irresponsible with food and Hatton ruined his entire career with the same ****** ridiculous focus on eating bad food and overindulging on alcohol. So now we have Maidana. I don't get it. Why do this?Comment

It doesn't concern me. Fans weren't the ones putting in the work in the gym, and fans were not the ones taking punishment in the ring. If he intends to step in the ring, then he knows what he has to do. If he intends to retire, he should get fat, enjoy life, and watch his children grow old. One love.Comment

Yea... he's not not coming back. He's likely approaching 200 lbs. They'd need 6 months, at least, to get him in half decent fighting shape.Comment

I expect to see Maidana vs. Cotto in June or July at 154. It will be on PPV and will outsell Alvarez vs Khan and Ward vs Kovalev. I also expect to see Cotto vs Golovkin either in the fall or early part of 2017 (with Cotto winning by KO).A circulating photo of former two division world champion Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs) has raised concern with many of his loyal fans.
The photo has now appeared on several Argentinean news outlets, such as TYC Sports, and fans were surprised with Maidana's declining physical condition.
