Is a promoter supposed to know about a boxers child support situation? That seems like an impossible thing to track. I gotta believe Englebrecht gots something else going on here than that or did I miss something in that story???

I have heard rumblings from insiders that Las Vegas is falling out of favor with the big promoters for big fights because the new commissioner is impossible to deal with. This sounds like an example.

He could have easily let the fight go on and just held up Judah's purse and fined the guilty parties afterward. That way it doesn't cheat fans who bought tickets, the other fighters on the card, etc.

He has also, I'm told, shot down match after match on undercard so -- things like a 6-0 guy against a 4-2 guy or an 18-0 guy against a 15-4 guy with a good track record. He does this over and over until it's impossible to fill out the card without throwing a ton of money at matches at the last minute because they can't make matches for him rejecting them.

I'm interested to see how many big fights Vegas gets this year, and also how long this guy lasts as commish when the casinos use their juice to pull his card if he's bad for business.

I actually love this if its true. I'd like to see more commissions being critical of matchups.
