He could have easily let the fight go on and just held up Judah's purse and fined the guilty parties afterward. That way it doesn't cheat fans who bought tickets, the other fighters on the card, etc.

He has also, I'm told, shot down match after match on undercard so -- things like a 6-0 guy against a 4-2 guy or an 18-0 guy against a 15-4 guy with a good track record. He does this over and over until it's impossible to fill out the card without throwing a ton of money at matches at the last minute because they can't make matches for him rejecting them.

I'm interested to see how many big fights Vegas gets this year, and also how long this guy lasts as commish when the casinos use their juice to pull his card if he's bad for business.

    Absolutely, what utter fkn spastics.

Way to go full ****** and fk over a bunch of fighters and a pile of fans, just because of some (likely irrelevant) paperwork.

Instead of this situation being a manageable hiccup, it has become a complete an utter failure, and a black-eye for boxing.

Sounds to me like some jumped up little **** decided to make an example of somebody so that he could puff up his chest and get himself noticed.

The fking ****** thing is... he owes child support... well how does he get paid? BY FIGHTING. So they cancel his fight and now he isnt getting paid. Isnt the whole point of a lein that they can take the owed child support out of his purse? either way a judge could force that if thats whats needed, preventing him from fighting does nothing to help his financial situation...

add to that they are going to have to go to a "disciplinary hearing" which my guess is their punishment will be a further suspension on fighting, which further complicates the problem.

THough thinking about it... maybe NSAC is mad because notifying them of the lien is their way of making sure the money owed comes out of the purse, in that case I can see their frustration with them intentionally not listing it on the paperwork.

No matter if NSAC was mad they wouldn't get to take child support out of the purse or not, this is indeed b.s. to stop a whole card. It isn't like the vast majority of pro boxers are well off anyway, without cancelling out their little bit of income. Bennet acts like the entire problem is Judah and his manager/promoter whoever. BENNET is the f ing problem. I do hope he's drop kicked off a tall cliff and they get someone in there who has their act together.

they cancelled the card because they suspended Englebrects promoters license, and there was no co-promoter to take over the event.

unfortunate, but if the allegations are accurate, the commission had no choice

Great point, his child support problem just gets bigger.

Like you said, any irregularity with the paperwork is obviously an issue..... but, it is an issue between the commission and the fighter.

The commissioner completely failed to manage the situation. When he cancelled the fight, he threw his hands in the air and walked away..... he completely failed to handle the situation competently.

The situation was not managed, it was mis-managed. The commission should be judged on their results, and that card is now a complete failure.

This was Jim Ross's debut also.

So are the fans getting their money back?

I don't know, honestly, the NSAC looks worse than Judah right now. Great timing, why waste everyone's time and do this last minute? That's messed up in NSAC's part. That was like a troll move.

I question if they would do this to a big name fighter though. May, Pac, Cotto, Canelo. I bet you they would give them more options. They said **** Judah, he ain't ****. And these bum ass fans coming to see a bum ass card, **** them too.
