No! NO! they saved Joshua they knew he was going to gass in the later rounds! Im calling for an official investigation - you cant do this to a champion! Anthony Joshuas power is overrated so see how the 'Prince' took it and smiled! These Euro-bums keep getting handed titles , Im so ashamed for boxing right now.Comment

If he's hurting guys with arm punches, how is his power overrated? It's clear he can punch, just has to continue working on his technique. It's sickening to hear the hype for this guy. Honestly even his power is overrated he's an arm puncher. The guy could be good but the ****ing hype is absolutely sickening and it annoys me all my peers in the UK who know **** about boxing hyping him. He's proved nothing. Based on the Dillian Whyte performance (and Dillian Whyte is 10x better than this bum) Haye stops the guy, fury easily outboxes him. Sickening this.Comment

Joshua didn't walk him down, both guys came out boxing and Joshua was able to touch Martin up and down and get back out of the way. The part you were correct about is Martin was out of his depth. But that was a perfect first round from AJ he used his technique, speed and boxing ability, he didn't rush Martin at all, all the shots were placed and dented Martin's confidence. This made Martin come out of his shell in the second and force it a bit more, and Joshua walked him on to two great counters as a result. We haven't learned much about Joshua from this fight. Martin clearly didn't have the heart to continue and basically quit. It was evident very quickly he was way out of his depth and had nothing to prevent Joshua from just walking him down. He may very well be one of the worst HW title holders in boxing history.
Its a bit disappointing that some people miss some subtle things. That was the best Joshua I have seen by a mile and to produce it on such a big occasion says something about him mentally, but like you I wish we had seen more. I am not 100% convinced by him yet, but he is getting better and this for me was a marked improvement, it was the first time I saw real pedigree from him. He isn't the best heavyweight we have ever seen, but he might become of the best of this group.Comment

Well it's easy to see that he is arm punching. I'm not saying he's got no power it's clear that he has. But he hasn't fought anybody who's proven and yet a lot of people treat him like he's got foreman or shavers power. Well, he doesn't, you can see that by how he punches. He's very heavy and very fast for a man of that size and punches straight. He's also very aggressive. That all helps with knocking men out. Put he doesn't punch as hard as Haye for example, despite being much bigger but people seem to think he's Foreman.Comment

I think Martin lost all 7 of his fans tonight after that poor performance but you cant blame the guy he had no business holding a title in the first place. I would like to hear what his corner told him betweens rds because I was screaming for some type of lateral and head movement. Hopefully AJ goes for some unification and we see some good hw fights. Ive been on the parker train for a while now so I cant wait for him to start fighting some contenders. Fury,Ortiz,Wilder,Parker,Breazeale any of these guys has a chanceComment
