It's too early to say that when Ward hasn't had a competitive fight in 3 years and has yet to fight at 175.

Think about it ... if Ward only sc****s past Barrera, then he doesn't deserve to be called a top P4P fighter and beating him shouldn't make Kovalev automatic No1.

On the other hand, if Ward barely beats Barrera then goes on to beat Kovalev, that means Krusher was not as good as we thought he was, and Ward shouldn't be P4P No1 for beating him.

Wait and and see what happens when Ward fights Barrera. Then we'll have some idea of the level he is at now.

bc i dont give fury one ounce of credit for that epic fight turned game of duck duck goose...and wat a pus wlad is omg..he just let that man walk of with his possession without doing anything for nearly 11 rounds..

smh im having nightmares just dream about it...
some fighters get called boring: rigo, floyd, lomo for exampe
but when donaire dropped rigo he left out the ring with his eye laying freshly swollen in his mit!
when cotto wanted rough work with floyd, floyd turned it to another level
lomo got ****slapped all night by salido but nearly ended up turning it up to stop him

but not this so called great hw champ..his punkarse just like a man dance away while he respected the distance bc he was afraid to get countered!

that fight literally made me a wilder fan lol
I would like to add Austin "No Heart" Trout to your list. He KNEW he was losing after every round and did JACK SHT about it against Canelo. How many boxers would KILL to know where they stood with the judges??? He didn't do anything like the guys you mentioned above. He was content to lose by decision. The open scoring killed that fight. I guarantee if Saul was losing and knew it, he wouldn't of coasted the last few rounds. Trout should went all do or die those last few rounds but he chose not to. People always forget that part.

One guy knew he was winning so went ODH/Trinidad. But actually knowing he was ahead.

Trout instead of going Trinidad those last rounds choose to be like ODH??? And just dance around.

The only other explanation is no one in Trout's corner knows how to count? Or got read the scorecards backwards???

Given the other fights that are scheduled in 2016 so far, I can't imagine anyone having a better 'argument' for P4P #1 than Ward/Kovalev winner.

This assumes that Ward looks good at 175 against Barrera.

i give trout a little leway, bc they robbed him of a even fight and they threw him a monkey wrench..im sure he never trained for getting a stoppage he trained for high activity...
but klit's punkarse knew that fury was long and going to move from day 1..and this utter bum of a champ made his boxing gloves resemble reading glasses all night long...ALL HE FUGGIN DID WAS WATCH LOL

bradley is still on the list and it dont get no closer than that crap he pulled with vargas and provo lol

stop setting these terrible standards for PROVEN FIGHTERS

now fury shouldnt be on the list just yet..he barely did anyting vs wlad and he isnt proven anything outside of that...he does still have time tho..

robbed Trout? How? Canelo clearly won that fight 115-112 and like the previous poster said he pretty much gave Trout the last three rounds
