Vivian Harris was the first to hurt Matthysse's right eye in 2010. Garcia only capitalized on that weakness, he didn't cause it.

Sounds like the problems with the eye are legit and dates back a long time now. Hopefully he can get healthy and resume his career. Win or lose Lucas makes entertaining fights.
