That doesn't prove his eye is okay. It is common knowledge that boxers accumulate long lasting, and sometimes permanent injuries. An eye injury could be the proverbial straw; he might be tired of fighting through injuries and putting his body on the line.

No complaints either way. He's been in some entertaining scraps over the years and it is a shame that the politics stood in the way of him being champ.
