I blame Cotto for all this "MW" BS...Its bizarre that the MW title has been held hostage and is now being fought for by a JMW and a WW...???!!!

Anyway, sounds like Canelos gonna drop that title and face Lemieux this sept...GGGSaunders later in the yr....Im speculating

Pacquiao fk'd Cotto over, and taught him the business well.

I told everyone that manny-weight was a nasty precedent.

The 144 line, was so that Manny could fight JWW's at 144.

It is exactly the same thing, no question..... Pac's 144 = Canelo's 155.

Now, everyone has to put up with Canelo-weight.

Pac had like 8-9 weight affected fights, pretty much consecutively..... and nobody said a damn thing.

Even now, you see posters bashing Canelo-weight, but defending Manny-weight, in the same sentence.

Maybe everyone should have decided to keep their standards high from the very start, instead of waiting until now to suddenly develop an interest in the integrity of boxing LMAO

I'm a fan for life, warrior.

I'll second that. As long as he sticks by his words (e.g doesn't drop weight if Alvarez comes calling). He wants to fight the best, and we definately need more boxers with this mindset.

And I'll third it!

Lemieux showed the kind of spirit that we as fans once used to expect from a champion when he went straight up against GGG after winning the IBF belt.

He showed the same spirit and integrity when he stood up and fought on like a man after being hit while down by Golovkin, instead of trying to milk it and get GGG disqualified or the fight called off as a no-contest.

Lemieux is big at the weight, so he won't be going down to 155, even if Canelo wants to fight him.

Canelo vs Lemieux at 160 would be a great fight. I want to see if Canelo at 160 has enough power to dent a real MW, because at 155, he wouldn't be able to do that.

Lemieux is a warrior looking for top challenges, while BJS is a phony with a sore vag
