    Cotto vs Lara

I would rather see Cotto vs Lara than Cotto vs Kirkland. Kirkland is washed wouldn't be a good fight for Cotto. I really like Cotto & his résumé but that would be like taking a step back instead of bouncing back from his L. Lara's & Cottos skill set would be a good match up plus a PR vs a Cuban would make more $.what are your thoughts ?

No interest in seeing Lara in a big fight again.
If Cotto fights on PPV don't want to pay to see Lara run around the ring, the way he did with Canelo.

But I'm sure you had no issue with seeing De La Hoya fight again after he ran around the ring against Trinidad

While I did criticize DLH for running the last 3 rounds against Trinidad, it was different. He did it for only 3 round, Lara did it for 10 against Nelo.

DLH didn't talk his way into a Trinidad fight nor claim he was going to break Trinidad's face, the way Lara did of Nelo. DLH didn't interrupt a Trinidad press conference to beg for the fight, Lara did.

You talk that much **** and can't back it up, you don't deserve another big fight IMO.

I never heard a word about Cotto fighting Kirkland. Canelo beat Kirkland so easily that beating Kirkland now wouldn't mean much. Cotto put up a hell of a fight with Canelo and he was the lineal middleweight champ prior to that loss. Cotto is on a much higher level thank Kirkland and would be a huge favorite to beat him. Lara is on about the same level as Cotto as far as his prestige as a fighter goes. A win over Lara would be a good win for Cotto. I think Lara would edge Cotto out with his speed and long range boxing skills. Lara can punch hard as well. Lara doesn't bring in the money so I can't imagine Cotto agreeing to such a high risk and low paying fight.

It would be like Cotto v Trout, but worse for Cotto.

I just read about on boxing scene top headlines. I am surprised Cotto took this fight. Cotto has everything to lose and nothing but the money he gets for the fight to gain. Kirkland has everything to gain and nothing to lose. If Cotto wins so what. Cotto is supposed to beat the guy who Canelo crushed so easily and he gains no prestige for winning. Kirkland still can punch very hard with both hands. If Kirkland gets lucky and KOs Cotto it's by far a career best win and his stock goes way up. If Cotto gets KOed by Kirkland it's a disaster for him.

I meant to say I just now heard about the Cotto-Kirkland fight on boxing scene top headlines.

Lara beats Cotto. People that say "i don't want to see Lara fight" really mean "Lara would probably beat the fighter i like".

Not really. I don't really like Cotto that much, I was happy to see Trout beat him. And Canelo.

But some guys are so boring, I never want to see them again. You can pretty much put Lara and Rigo in this group for me. I never want to see them fight.
